Packing for #NYFW

I’m so excited to attend Fashion Week this year, this is my first time so I’m a little nervous but looking forward to the experience! Fashion Week in February isn’t quite as big due to the freezing cold weather in NYC, but I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get my feet wet before the big event this fall. My girlfriend Megan (For All Things Lovely) and I  are going together, I couldn’t think of a better girl to be in the city with! We have a pretty packed schedule of meetings, events and of course, a stop for NY pizza!

What to Pack??

Well, for starters it will be cold, like really cold! Figuring out outfits that would be chic, true to my style and weather appropriate was a little tricky. Typically everyone wears black in NYC, which is great but you know this girl loves color! Once I saw this Ted Baker skirt I knew it would be the perfect combination of NYC and McKenna! I also loved the floral print of this Topshop blouse. I plan to pair it with skinny faux leather leggings and a blush pink faux fur stole. Unfortunately, the option I bought from Nordstrom is no longer available but I found a similar option here.

Jackets are a must in February! I’m sure this animal print Michael Kors number will be a sure stand out. If you’re looking for a more classic look, I also really love this tan option here. Also along with me are few chunky sweaters, skinny jeans and some fun tops for dinner.

For shoes, I brought a few options : my basic black booties, my new Sole Society tan pumps, silver pumps, leopard heels and of course a great comfortable pair of flats!
