This is what the dining room looked like when we purchased our home almost three years ago. Blue carpet, dated wallpaper and heavy drapery. We added a set of French doors that now walk out to our patio. We also opened up the wall to create a better flow into our kitchen and our formal living room. Most of our home had original hardwoods, we had to add new floors to the dining room and kitchen areas. I loved the character of the original built in shelves so we just refreshed them with some paint.
Below is the final product! I was so excited to finish this room with the help of our friends at Wisteria. We added these beautiful dining room chairs to complete the space. I love the coastal look and feel of this space allowing the wallpaper to be the focal point of the room. With Spring around the corner I created a colorful tablescape with a few of my favorite Wisteria pieces. I instantly fell in love with the floral print of these dinner and desert plates. A little splash of fun with these confetti drinking glasses and beautiful faux orchrid florals. All items can be found here!
I’m so excited to host our family and friends around this table this year. They say renovating a house is a marathon not a spirt and this could not be more true. A long work in progress but I couldn’t be happier with how it came together! The dining room is the center of our home and it’s filled with lots of love and warmth.
