On a sprawling 3,500 acre landscape in the north Georgia foothills sits Château Élan Winery and Resort. This luxurious destination is known for being one of the most awarded wineries on the east coast! So the hubby and I packed our bags and decided on a pre-holiday romantic getaway.
It recently received a $25 million renovation, delivering all-new distinctly southern charm with modern touches. I was blown away with Château Élan’s new look. Talk about fireplace goals! As you can see from the images, it’s a stunning property and has everything to offer for your group. From the winery, golf course, spa, tennis courts, restaurants and more!
One thing was for sure, there was no shortage of wine!
Upon check in, we got settled in our spacious king room with a gorgeous view of the golf course, which my husband loved! We walked next-door to the popular authentic Irish pub, Paddy’s! Paddy’s is a spirited pub with traditional Irish food, beverages and live music! Shepards pie and a few pints, a great way to start our weekend!
Saturday morning we grabbed coffee and a few pastries at Le Petit. I loved the look of this modern, French inspired cafe, especially the spacious bar area to enjoy your coffee and read the paper or the choice of their patio for outdoor seating.
Once we were fueled up with our morning coffee it was time to make our way over to the winery for a guided wine tasting! It was so fun to sip and discover all the wines sourced and offered here at Château Élan, starting from the lighter rosé to more full body cabernet. Buzzing from a fun afternoon it’s time to get some food in your system!
Marc bar is location in the shared winery space making it easy to jump over for a quick bite. You can enjoy Southern-inspired bar and chophouse specialties. I highly recommend the covered patio area! After lunch we grabbed our favorite bottle of wine, which was the Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve to enjoy on the main patio area. What a perfect, relaxing day spending quality time with the ones you love the most.
We decided to call it an early night as we had a full day at the Vineyard Fest planned for Sunday. Château Élan Winery & Resort’s annual VineyardFest has been a sell-out event for the past two decades. This year’s theme was ‘Flavors of the South’with an emphasis on local food and restaurants. We were able to taste 100+ beers, wines and liquors plus sample culinary delights! It was certainly a great way to end our trip, leaving us excited to make it back for next year!
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a girls trip, be sure to add Château Élan Winery & Resort to your list!
