I’m so excited to share the big news: WE’RE MOVING to San Diego!!
Mr. Bleu and I set our eyes on San Diego a few years back. We first visited the area in 2012, prior to a deployment of his. That is also the time and place I began my blog. It’s so crazy what opportunities life can bring.
Back in June, he set off for more training and will be done this November – I can’t wait, it’s been a long 5 months apart!
In the meantime, I jumped at the opportunity to get us packed-up and ready for our cross-country journey! We previously moved from NC to MD; MD to Boston; and Boston to DC. I’m sure you’re getting the point: we move a lot, so I’m becoming quite the pro.
Prior to our move from Boston to DC we found U-Pack! Have any of you used ReloCubes?! They make it so easy! So of course this was exactly what I needed to get us to San Diego!
The process is seamless with U-Pack. The first step is deciding what size and how many ReloCubes you will need. Not sure? They have an easy guide on their website to help you decide. If you’re still not sure, you can play it safe and order more ReloCubes (i.e. two instead of one); you only pay for what you end up using. After that, you just place a phone call and set up a drop-off date. They then deliver your ReloCubes and you get to take your time packing them. Once done, U-Pack picks them up and delivers them to your destination. You then decide when you want to unpack the ReloCubes and get moved in!
If only I could of had some extra help packing up the apt, or my clothes I should say! Ha!
Since Mr. Bleu only had two weeks notice before reporting to his new duty station, I was unfortunately left to complete this moving task alone (insert very annoyed wife). Not exactly an ideal situation, but when you’re a part of the military lifestyle you somehow get used to it.
Basically what I’m trying to say is, if I can do it, you can do it. Big thanks to my friends at U-Pack for always being there when I needed them the most!
As of now, I’m living in NC out of my suitcase…gypsy status and the living is easy. I’ve been bouncing all over the East Coast visiting my friends and family as much as I can before our move in November. Once Mr. Bleu finishes up his training (in a few weeks) we plan to jump in the car for the cross-country road trip over to San Diego! We have our route mapped out and it’s going to be one amazing adventure (9 days of fun to be exact) – I’m so excited to share our journey with you guys!
I’ve always been an East Coast girl, but you can’t go wrong with sunshine, palm trees, and mild winters – pretty sure I’ll fit right in! San Diego, here goes nothing!!
Living by one of my favorite quotes…
If you get a chance, take it
If it changes your life, let it

Good luck on your move! San Diego is amazing! I am a military spouse too and totally understand having to get use to doing things on your own (even when you don’t want to lol). I think it definitely makes us stronger and more independent! Good luck to you and your husband! P.S. Love your blog, I read it daily!

Good luck with the move. Have you ever done a post about adjusting to a new city i.e getting involved, making friends, etc? With multiple moves under you belt I bet you would have some great points. ~B
