Ohh Santorini, what can I say that the pictures don’t describe?! Greece has been on my bucket list every since I was old enough to create one. This past September, my husband and I spent two weeks in this unforgettable destination. I will tell you it was no cake walk getting all the way over to Greece. We took two flights to Athens, stayed the night, jumped on the “fast ferry” (for five hours) and had no wifi. Nonetheless, we arrived in Santorini! Once we arrived, I forgot all about the travel time and instantly realized why it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. Have you ever seen water this blue?! Endless rows of white houses along the cliffside; tons of friendly four-legged animals walking around; and sunsets that could bring tears to your eyes – Greece was everything I imagined and more. My husband and I booked this lovely villa called Lucky Homes Oia. It was so spacious, had a full kitchen, and a balcony worth five times the price we paid. The only two downsides to Santorini was the fact that you are not allowed to flush toilet paper & the food. For some reason I was not a fan of Greek food. I’ve become pretty adventurous in trying all types of food, but this didn’t do it for me. Luckily, there was an endless supply of ice cream. Hey, when on vacation, right?! Oia was the town we stayed in which is known for the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Every night, hundreds of people would come from other Greek islands to watch the sunset in Oia. Luckily for us, we were able to see it eight times during our stay – an experience I will never forget. If you are thinking of planning a trip to Greece, I highly, highly recommend staying in Oia. It was by far our favorite place in Greece.

Love your style! Reminds me of mine 🙂 How did you keep your hair looking so good in Europe? I want to bring my flat iron & curling iron but I know the outlets aren’t compatible. Did you buy a European flat iron & curling iron or just use a converter and your own hot tools? Thanks!
McKenna says
Hi Alessia!
I bought a converter, just be sure its a good one with high levels. Be sure to check your tag on both your curling iron & flat iron to make sure it can handle the watts. Have a great time, braids and big hats also helped!
