What a great little getaway to bring in the big 30!! When asked what do you want for your bday, all I really wanted was a plane ticket to somewhere beautiful!
We stayed at the Westin Lagunamar Resort in Cancun, Mexico – it was such a beautiful property. We found out it was also the perfect time of year to go, the island was deserted which we loved! Cancun is basically just like Miami, very Americanized with all your regular shops, chain restaurants and Starbucks. I will say, we have been all over the world and stepped foot on many beaches – Cancun is one of our favorites. Not to mention the water is every shade of blue you can imagine! If you are looking for an inexpensive, great beach with an American feel, I highly recommend Cancun, Mexico for a tropical getaway!
