This was my first time to Siesta Key and hopefully not the last. Sometimes you just have to make your own sunshine and that’s exactly what we had to do during our trip. I spent a few summers down in Florida growing up so I totally get the light rain shower pretty much everyday, but this was not the situation during our trip. Of all weeks, good ol’ mother nature decided to dump rain shower after rain shower on us through out the long weekend. Luckily, with 10 girls in one beach house we found a way to still have a great trip. Between multiple happy hours, extra frizzy hair, lots of dancing, bottomless Oreos and deep belly laughs, it turned out to be one of my favorite trips to date. Siesta Key is such a cute & charming little beach town. Colorful streets lined with great shops, restaurants, bars and definitely the most beautiful beach in the US.

Some of my favorite spots in Siesta Key were:
The Lobster Pot– Amazing seafood/lobster dinner
The Cottage – They have the best apps & Joe Jonas (behind the bar) makes one mean Pain Killer!
Sun Garden– Amazing breakfast!
Gilligan’s Island Bar– Dance party, #watchmewhipit
Another Broken Egg– Great mimosa’s & Gravy and Biscuits
Big Olaf– Homemade Ice cream, yes please!
3.14 Pi – It was fantastic pizza after 2am lol
Overall Siesta Key is a good great time, I would highly recommend checking it out!

I also wanted to share a few photos from my sunrise shoot with the ever so talented Cody Hunter Photography & styling from Elleson Events!
Even if we got caught in a major rain storm, I’m dying over how beautiful the photos turned out!
