Today, I’m switching it up from the typical “outfit of the day” post. As I’m prepping for a photo shoot with my photographer tomorrow, I wanted to give you a little insight into what goes on behind the scenes!
Building the look:
1. I usually start with one item, my focal point. This black and white stripped dress was my main focus for this look. I mean how adorable is this drop waist dress!
2. I decide with my accessories on which way I want to take my look; accessories as you know can completely change a look. For this particular vision, I was going for more of a boho style. This beaded necklace brings out the earthy golden tones and really stands out against the black and white stripe dress.
3. Keeping with my boho vibe, I added a black and white panama hat, tousled loose waves compliments the effortless boho vibe.
4. For makeup, keeping it minimal is key. A bold lip (my new favorite: MAC’s Impassioned) is the perfect shade to pair with the warm tones in the necklace.
5. For my clutch, I settled on this black and white tribal option (it also comes in red!) with a tassel fringe detail. I love the mix of prints, it adds a little something unexpected which I am all for!
6. The final step is sandals, these gold strappy flats are not only comfortable, but they are a boho chic girls dream!
I’m excited to shoot in this look tomorrow. I will have it up next week on the blog!
