Islesboro, Maine
Located just 80 miles NE of Portland, Maine. There’s a reason Maine is called “Vacationland” and if you have ever had the luxury to experience this small island, you would agree. It’s home to many celebrities such as John Travolta, Chris O’Donnell & Kirstie Alley. There is a good chance you will be bumping elbows with a few of them or at least with some of the most elite CEO’s around the world.
The past two weeks my days have been fun filled with sailing, tennis, golf, riding bikes, red wine,s‘mores, picnics, overnights on the yacht, lobsters, visiting farm animals, soaking up the sun and breathing in the sweet fresh Maine air. After a morning at the Tarratine Club, every kid on the island heads over to The Dark Harbor Shop for lunch… seriously the best PB& J’s around! Oh, let me tell you about the Ice Cream….seriously gained 10 lbs, I mean how can you say no to waffle cones with extra rainbow sprinkles; not this girl!!
Going to bed early with the sound of waves crashing into the rocks to waking up to the smell of pancakes & a morning fire burning, life feels perfect and as peaceful as the books I read. Life on Islesboro is magical, let the countdown begin until we meet again. So thankful for the new friends I met, friendships that strengthened and the memories I made.
